GWINNETT – On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, the Gwinnett Tech Foundation proudly hosted its inaugural Gryphon Gratitude Breakfast, welcoming more than 150 donors, community partners, and students to celebrate the power of philanthropy and its impact on student success.
Held on campus, the event served as a moment of recognition for the individuals and organizations whose generosity fuels Gwinnett Technical College’s mission to provide high-quality, career-focused education. Attendees heard directly from students who shared heartfelt stories about how scholarships and Foundation support have positively impacted their lives, helping them stay in school, pursue their goals, and build brighter futures.
“We are honored to host the inaugural Gryphon Gratitude Breakfast as a moment of recognition for the invaluable contributions made to Gwinnett Technical College,” said Dr. Glen Cannon, President of Gwinnett Tech. “Our donors and partners play a vital role in shaping the future of our students and our region. Their long-standing support empowers us to deliver high-quality education, strengthen workforce development, and build a brighter tomorrow.”
Special recognitions were awarded to long-time supporters including the Scott Hudgens Family Foundation, Peach State Federal Credit Union, Primerica, Georgia Power, Northside Hospital, and the Clarke Family, in honor of their enduring commitment to the College and its students.
The heart of the morning’s message was unmistakable: “Thank you for investing in education and in me,” Darcie Johnson, Executive Director of the Gwinnett Tech Foundation, delivered this sentiment with deep intention, hoping it would resonate with every person in the room. Her goal was to put a face to each donation, reminding attendees that behind every contribution is a student whose life is being transformed through education. The event concluded with a powerful and personal call to action Fuel Your Purpose encouraging everyone to reflect on their own purpose and to be intentional in supporting others as they pursue theirs.
The Gryphon Gratitude Breakfast marks the beginning of a new tradition at Gwinnett Tech, one that celebrates the spirit of giving and the transformative impact of community support.
