The Driverless and Driver Assist Systems program provides training in both the theory and diagnosis of the fundamentals of automotive repair with electric, driver assist, and driverless vehicles. Upon completion, students will understand how to diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles that are V21, V2V, and ADAS (collectively known as V2X.)

Students have the option to earn this certificate along with their program of study in Automotive Technology, Mopar CAP, Mercedes-Benz, or Ford Asset.

Issues affecting a background check may hinder a student’s participation in an internship program and may prevent a student from completing the program and/or securing a job upon graduation.

Students must be at least 18 years old to start the program.

**Due to the demand and popularity of automotive programs (Automotive Technology, Ford ASSET, Heavy Diesel, Mercedes-Benz, & Mopar CAP) at Gwinnett Technical College, new students must contact AutomotiveDivision@GwinnettTech.edu immediately after applying to the college to complete a program advisement form.  Acceptance into Gwinnett Technical College does not guarantee immediate placement within these programs.

Can I work while I learn?

Class schedules are designed to encourage student employment in the automotive industry while taking classes.
