HSE Preparation Classes

We offer High School Equivalency (HSE) Preparation classes in Gwinnett County at Berkmar High School and Gwinnett Tech’s main campus in Lawrenceville. In North Fulton, we offer classes at Gwinnett Tech’s Alpharetta North Fulton Campus. We also offer online options.

18-Year-Old and Over Application Requirements

The following documents are needed for the registration:

  1. Verification of Eligibility document.
  2. Unexpired US government-issued identification. This may include:
    • Unexpired Driver’s license or State ID or Military ID or Permanent Resident Card (for US Citizens and Permanent Residents)
    • Unexpired Employment Authorization Card (I-766) or Foreign passport with US visa or Foreign passport with I-94 or Foreign passport with 797C. (for Qualified aliens or non-immigrants)

Students with Disabilities

Students who have a medical and/or psychological disability, have documentation of such disability and require special accommodations or services, must submit the required documents to Disability Services Department prior to being able to receive any accommodations.
Here are your steps:

  1. Complete the Adult Education application form (Choose the appropriate one below). Be sure to check yes to the question asking if you are requesting accommodations.
  2. Complete the Disability Service Intake form
  3. Submit the completed Disability Service Intake form in one of the following ways:
    1. Alpharetta North Fulton Applicants
    2. Gwinnett County Applicants
  4. Submit necessary Adult Education paperwork
    • 18-Year-Old requirements (above)
    • 16 and 17 Year-Old Requirements (above)
  5. Receive an approval to schedule your testing with Disability Service.
  6. Schedule your testing with Disability Services.

We have three (3) terms:

Term I: July – December

Term II: January – May

Term III: May – June
