High School Equivalency (GED & HiSET)

Gwinnett Technical College now offers multiple options for achieving your high school equivalency. Two computer-based testing (CBT) pathways are available through Gwinnett Technical College’s HSE testing centers: the GED® test or the HiSET® exam.

MISSION and PURPOSE

Advance the knowledge of individuals to enrich lives and develop opportunities. Gwinnett Tech, a unit of the Technical College System of Georgia, is a public two-year college that serves the communities of Gwinnett and North Fulton by offering campus and distance learning for associate degrees, diplomas and certificates in credit programs as well as for adult and continuing education training.


HSE Testing

At Gwinnett Technical College, High School Equivalency testing is conducted at the Official HSE Testing Centers.

HSE Testing Schedule

Georgia offers two high school equivalency testing options.  GED and HiSET.  Please visit GED.com and hiset.org to learn about your testing options.

If you are 16 or 17, you must complete the requirements set by the Technical College System of Georgia in order to be eligible to take the tests. Please go to the application page for additional information regarding your requirements.

HSE Graduation

Congratulations on earning your high school equivalency credential!

If you live in Gwinnett County or Alpharetta/North Fulton County and recently earned your high school credential, you may be eligible to participate in our graduation ceremony.  Please email HSETesting@GwinnettTech.edu with your name, birthdate and which test you completed (GED or HiSET).  We will contact you with more information.  Our graduation ceremony is a rewarding event that truly celebrates your accomplishment! We encourage you and your family and friends to attend.

Now that you have completed your high school equivalency credential, what comes next?  A higher degree? A job or a BETTER job? Even if you are still deciding on your next steps, you have already proven that you have the ability and the desire to accomplish your goals.  Don’t stop the momentum now!
