Enrollment Achievement

  • Gwinnett Technical College is the state’s second-largest technical college, serving more than 20,000 students annually in college credit courses, adult education, and continuing education.
  • Gwinnett Tech reached record-breaking enrollment, with more than 13,000 students earning college credit in 2024.
  • More than 2,700 high school students enrolled in Dual Enrollment last year
  • The Continuing Education Division provided customized training options to more than 5,000 students last year, plus a myriad of businesses.
  • As one of the state’s largest providers of GED preparation and ESL classes, Gwinnett Tech served over 3,000 students last year throughout Gwinnett and North Fulton counties.
  • Gwinnett Tech conferred 4,559 degrees, diplomas, and certificates in 2024.

Students Achievement

  • 25 students represented Gwinnett Tech at the 2024 National SkillsUSA competition. Fourteen students placed, including 13 who won gold medals.
  • Pagna Donlevy was named Gwinnett Technical College’s 2024 Georgia’s Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) winner.
  • Adult Education student Anastasiia Pliashko was named Gwinnett Technical College’s 2024 Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education (EAGLE) winner.

Renowned Programs with Tradition of Excellence

  • Gwinnett Tech was ranked #5 in the nation for services to Veterans by Military Friendly.
  • The Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care reaffirmed the Respiratory Therapy program in AY24, marking the eleventh consecutive year it has received this honor.
  • The Surgical Technology program celebrated its twelfth consecutive year with a 100% pass rate record on the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) exam.
  • Twelve programs celebrated a 100% pass rate on their national board exams. 
  • Cybersecurity AAS program was validated through 2029 by NSA’s National Centers of Academic Excellence in 2024
  • Surgical Tech was reaffirmed by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) in 2023
  • Veterinary Tech was reaffirmed by the AVMA Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (CVTEA) in 2023
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonography was reaffirmed by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) in 2023
  • Paramedicine was reaffirmed by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) in 2024
  • Surgical Technology Program Director TC Parker was named the Gwinnett Tech 2024 Rick Perkins Award winner.

Giving Back

  • The Gwinnett Tech Foundation raised over a million dollars through cash donations during AY24.
    • The Gwinnett Tech Foundation helped more than 550 students last year, providing scholarships and financial assistance.
    • Over 150 scholarships were awarded to students in the academic year 2024.
  • The Student Government Association was named Georgia Chapter of the Year.
  •  Gwinnett Tech student ambassadors volunteered for 52 events on campus to support fellow students and the community.
  • Gwinnett Tech Student Life provided 470 opportunities and served 22,011 students. 
  • The Gwinnett Technical College SkillsUSA Chapter earned the Presidential Volunteer Service Award.
  • The Student Government Association collected over 300 for Toys for Tots, Georgia’s top Student Government Association.
